Cherries are in season - yay!
Serves two
Banana/berry smoothie
2 chopped bananas frozen
1 c non-dairy milk (I used oat milk)
1 tablespoon chia seeds soaked in 1/2 c water overnight
1 c frozen berries
5 pitted dates (you can soak these with the chia seeds over night)
Blend until smooth
Anything goes granola
Here's the recipe. Otherwise you could use raw or bircher muesli. Personally I think store bought toasted muesli (granola) has too much sweetener in it.
Putting it together
Pour smoothie into a bowl.
Add cherries.
Add granola (I used just under 1/4 c for each bowl).
I made the hearts using my "squished berries" mix that I had left over from another recipe.
Squished berries
Bend these ingredients until smooth:
1 cup frozen berries
1 - 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or agave (depending on how sweet you like it
Water if needed
*you can keep this in an airtight container in the fridge. It's a nice thing to have available to add to your breakfasts or smoothies :)
